- For a European private equity house, he advised the team that assessed the business risks and opportunities of acquiring a large European plastics producer.  The transaction was completed successfully

- For an international investment bank lead arranging the project finance, he led the team that reviewed the business plan of a cable TV, telecommunications and data operator in Southern Germany.  The transaction was completed successfully

- For a European private equity house, he led the team that assessed the business risks and opportunities of acquiring a European producer of dental implants, crowns and other supplies.  The auction was lost to a trade buyer

- For a European private equity house, he led the team that assessed the business risks and opportunities of acquiring a leading European publisher of reference information and professional journals.  The vendor withdrew the business for sale

- For a UK venture capitalist, he led the team that screened the business risks and opportunities of investing in a telemarketing and call centre business positioned at the higher value added end of the range.  The client was advised to withdraw

- For a European private equity house, leading the team that assessed the business risks and opportunities of acquiring a leading European producer of blood plasma derivatives and other medical supplies.  The transaction was completed successfully

- For a European private equity house, leading the team that assessed the business risks and opportunities of taking private a leading Irish-based diversified packager (cartons, labels, flexible and rigid plastics) and printer, operating in both Europe and the U.S.  The transaction was completed successfully

- For a European private equity house, leading the team that assessed the business risks and opportunities of investing in the management buy-out of a Scottish-based pharmaceutical research company, specialising in pre-clinical and Phase I trials. The transaction was completed successfully

- For a European private equity house, leading the team that assessed the business risks and opportunities of investing in the management buy-out of a leading U.K. night-club group.  The transaction was completed successfully

- For a European private equity house, assessing the business risks and opportunities of acquiring a U.S.-based producer of wear-resistant cobalt and nickel-based components and consumables from plants in the U.S., the U.K. and Germany.  The transaction was completed successfully
